The Bricknews123 Refame project!

I just want to say, to all of my subscribers, supporters, thank you. i know i haven't been posting much on youtube, mainly due to the fact that there's really no new news about lego sets around, i haven't had the chance to post a new video. But soon, i will be posting a new video, not about legos, but to re-fame my subscriber chain and view chain. By doing so, i will make a Sub for Sub? video. This sub for sub video isn't really going to be the best idea, but I WILL try it. First off, the rules go like so: you comment sub. and if i reply saying that i subbed, you're good to go. Sometimes, im not on all day, so it may take sometime. Just be patient. I will eventually close the video, and eventually re-open it. That is just some planning im having right now. This video will be coming soon.

Lego London Fair!

As you may know, Lego is hosting another Fair where they will put out new sets that are coming out in summer. Well, heres just some info on it:  This toy fair has every new set for the summer of every theme; such as Chima, Star wars, city and more! For now, i only bring you information about Chima. A rumor, (which is probably true) is that like there's an eagle temple, there will be a lion temple! if you like to see pics of it, they are here.

Chima time!: How to play Speedorz

Speedorz, the extra little game that comes with the great theme of Legends of Chima. How exactly do you play it?

First off, You'll need some Chima cards and rip cord, maybe some obstacles will do too.
i recommend the Speedorz CHI battle set 70113, it has everything you need, the speedorz  vehicles, obstacles, and chi.

Now, i got this info off of a site called Squidoo.com, more speefically, http://www.squidoo.com/how-to-play-lego-chima-speedorz

Make sure to check out thier website, or.... Just you know, look at this info.

Speedor Vehicles

The Speedor vehicles first need to be assembled. They include a flywheel and a vehicle top which are connected with pins. A LEGO minifigure is placed on a Speedor with their legs under the top of the vehicle.

You push the ripcord through a hole near the flywheel and pull to charge the vehicle - make sure your hands are not blocking the flywheel.

Quickly place the charged Speedor on a flat surface and off it shoots.

Speedor  Obstacles

Speedorz uses various obstacles which are built from LEGO pieces. In some sets there is a CHI orb (blue ball) to release and capture. The obstacles and objectives in each set are different. If you have multiple sets you can combine them for a more varied game.

The sets also include ramps which can be mounted by Speedorz to lift the vehicle up. This is tricky and takes some practice.

The obstacles are nice LEGO models in their own right which means they can be played with alongside the other LEGO CHIMA sets as well as being used in the game.

Now, according to what i've been seeing, like "Ninjago" when you do spinjutsu, you dsy "1...2... CHI!"
Just want to put that out.

CHI Battles Games

We have the CHI Battles Speedorz set which includes two Speedorz vehicles and a variety of obstacles that can be used to play various mini games that form rounds in an overall game - scoring is via CHI crystals:

  • Be first to hit the spinning top. This set includes a LEGO spinning top (a nod to Spinjitzu perhaps) which you build from LEGO pieces. It spins very well. You set the spinner spinning and then both players (or more I guess) set off their Speedorz and try to be the first to hit the spinner.

  • Hit the cones. This set includes four buildable fang cones - two red and two yellow. This is sort of like Speedorz skittles. Take turns to see how many fang cones you can knock down.
Capture the CHI orb. A blue CHI orb is hidden under the main obstacle in this set. Try to hit the obstacle and release the CHI orb and grab it.
  • Like Ninjago, there are Game Cards.

    Speedorz Game Cards

    Speedor Obstacles
Each Speedorz pack includes game cards which are used when you have two or more players in a Speedorz game to determine who wins a CHI crystal for a round of the game. You start the game with a deck of game cards which are used during the game.

As you can see, each card has a value against four symbols (representing the battle powers of instinct, speed, courage and strength.) And there's also an overall CHI value.

When a player wins a round (e.g. by releasing a CHI orb) then they get to draw a Speedorz card and choose a battle power. The player that has the highest value for that skill wins the round and gains two CHI crystals. This part of the game is like Top Trumps.

You can also choose to add the CHI score to your instinct score by paying with a CHI crystal if you think that gives you a better chance. (With my math advocate hat on I rather like this aspect of the game - you're doing simple arithmetic and weighing up odds.)

    Speedorz Power-Upz

Power-Upz are LEGO elements that attach to Speedorz vehicles and change how the vehicle moves and interacts with obstacles.

    Speedorz CHI Crystals

Speedorz sets include blue CHI crystals. The objective of Speedorz is to win six of these CHI crystals.

Well there you have it, again make sure to check out that site above. Now if thats not good for you, Then let's try a Visual Aid! My good friends from the Brick Central, made a video on it.

Bam! Cool poster right? i personally like it.... Its old. Yep. Thanks for reading, more news about Chima soon!

Happy New Years!

From the bricknews123 team.. which is only me actually  we wish you a happy new year! Expect more videos from us in this upcoming year, and i like to thank you for all of your support the past year. Let's just see some highlight of the great year of 2012...

My most viewed video was Lego Ninjago all of the ninja and its forms, at a whooping 418,000 views! that's almost half of my total video views.

The most unforgettable theme of 2012 was Ninjago, all of my videos about ninjago had more views then any other theme, and Everybody loves it! including me!

Our most mythical and Argue mental video was my summer 2012 ninjago video. Was the train set real? was it fake? was it a upcoming project? well it is officially FAKE. It looked fantastic so i squeezed it in there.

Not only that, but ninjago won BOTH of my favorite theme poll, so double award winning theme!

In this year i made 3 series videos, and series 7-9 were a hit! Check em out!

There is so much more, but, there is too much to show, so, lets just go to the
LEGO HALL OF FAME 2012!
Favorite lego theme: NINJAGO
Favorite series 7 mini fig:  SPACE GUY
favorite series 8 minifig: DJ
Favorite lego theme 2: Ninjago

only 4 polls were at this year, but more to come.

Now that we looked back in 2012, lets look whats forward for 2013.

Well, Ninjago is going to be gone, until 2014, we get that,so no ninjago video for a long time. Expect more Bring it back! video segments, showing old themes. we have 2 so far, Atlantis and power miners, 2 of my fav themes. expect more chima videos, since that is, the new "ninjago" of lego. Maybe more TMNT and hobbit videos. Our goal for this year is to reach 300 subscribers, and 1 million uploaded views! I hope it will come out sucessful! and finally, i want to thank you guys for being there and watching my videos, it means a lot to me. Till next time, and happy new years!
